Who makes it

HandsOnTop is made by Adam Kelly, an independent founder, and built to give teachers back some of the hours that go into making resources. Making a personalised resource by hand takes an evening; a generic one doesn’t fit the child in front of you. HandsOnTop exists so you can have something tailored and printable for tomorrow, in minutes.

Who it’s for

Primary teachers and support staff — Kindergarten to Year 6 — especially in special education and inclusive classrooms, and the therapists and learning-support teams who work alongside them. Parents are welcome too. It works for any country: pick yours and the year levels, stage or grade names and planning vocabulary follow.

What it makes

• Personalised social stories — illustrated stories with the child’s name, their look and the things they love, for any moment (fire drill, dentist, assembly, relief teacher), print-ready in about two minutes.
• Visual supports — visual schedules, first-then boards and picture cards made for a specific student and routine.
• Interest-based worksheets — any worksheet re-drawn around a student’s interest, the questions untouched.
• Lesson plans — full lessons for your own curriculum, stage and year level, with adjustments for diverse learners built in, or your school’s own template filled in.
• Lesson ideas and number talks — when you’re stuck, matched to your students’ interests and needs.

Social stories and visual supports are the heart of it; planning is there so the same student’s name and needs can carry through the whole day.

How student information is handled

A resource is personalised with only what you type: a first name and an interest, if you choose to give them. That text is sent to the AI services that write and draw the resource, and the finished resource is saved to your account so you can download it again for free. Resources are deleted automatically 30 days after they are made unless you keep them; templates you upload stay until you delete them. Please don’t include surnames, dates of birth or other personal details — the tools don’t need them. Trying it and paying for it

You can try a tool free before signing up, and a free account starts with 30 credits — about 2 social stories or 10 visual cards — with no card needed. After that, credits are pay-as-you-go and never expire, or Pro gives a monthly allowance. Prices are listed in Australian dollars and you pay in your own currency at checkout. See pricing.
